Nursery

So last night Shawn and I put some finishing touches on the nursery furniture. Now mind you I did marry a mechanic so he is good with tools, but he is not a wood tools kind of a guy. Every piece of the room was put together and taken apart at least once because we did it wrong. Thanks to my parents and Shawn's parents for the help in putting it together. If you have been in our house before, this room used to be the foosball room off our living room so picturing it as a nursery at first was difficult due to all the beer signs on the walls. After wallpaper removal, wallpaper installation, a few coats of paint and the furniture, it is coming together. Now just have to decorate and have a baby to put in there. We also received the infant carrier/car seat from UPS yesterday (pictured by the radiator).

First post

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog. We decided to make a blog about our family since so many people live far away and this has been a good way for us to keep in touch with other family members through their blogs.

Right now I am 32 weeks pregnant and let me tell you I feel like I've grown a lot in the last week. If you didn't think I was pregnant before now you can definitely tell now. So far the pregnancy has gone... well okay I would say. Once you're through the morning sickness, aversions to food, and freaking out over every pain, it's not that bad to be pregnant. Now I'm just left with continued heartburn and a low platelet count. Now that I'm in the home stretch, as some call the third trimester, the doctors are monitoring my platelet counts 1-2 times a month now but will increase in frequency they tell me when I'm closer to delivering. We're not worried about the low platelet count as of now because it is still above the magic number of 70,000 where they tell me that interventions would be needed if it were to drop below. Please pray for us that it stays around 100,000 where it is now. I can't believe that I'm posting a picture of me on here pregnant but for those who haven't seen me in the last 2 weeks, I've grown.
